More information on firearms licensing and registration in Québec

Apologies to Québec residents: I must admit that I can not read French very well. My linguistic limitations combined with the beloved Québécois pastime of constantly changing provincial laws and regulations means this website is not a complete source of information for Québec residents.

I need your help with this! If you find information here that is wrong, or could be improved please use the form at the bottom of this page to let me know!

Québec has additional firearms laws and regulations which do not apply elsewhere in Canada including in-person applications. Among a variety of other restrictions on hunting, target shooting, and firearms ownership. I don't know what all of the other differences are, however Sûreté du Québec has a page which you should use to find out more about the specific laws and regulations of your province.

In Québec, the CFSC is run by Fédération Québécoise des Chasseurs et Pêcheurs, use their website to find a Canadian Firearms Safety Course.
